Process

Custom brand design and voice development projects follow my tried-and-true process to ensure that each client gets the most out of their project.  Brand boosts and semi-custom brands through The Zootique follow a shorter, modified timeline.

Homework Time

You will start by completing a comprehensive branding workbook. Don’t worry, it’s not soul-sucking or exhausting work. Most clients actually think it’s a refreshing exercise that motivates them to move forward. I’ll also create a shared Pinterest board so that you can show me what inspires you. Once completed, we will have a 1-1.5 hour Skype coffee date where we will dissect your workbook and do some brainstorming.

Foundation Building

Next, I will jump into the driver’s seat to begin the brand brief that will be delivered with your final files. The infrastructure of your intentional brand, the brief will dissect your voice, ideal audience and positioning and be a valuable resource to continue to build and nurture your brand as it grows. The visual direction to complement this positioning will become clear in the carefully-curated mood board completed before logo proofs begin.

Work My Magic

Once the foundation is solid, your visual brand is ready to come to life. This stage involves designing your logo and developing your tagline and other brand assets, keeping your discovery session findings in mind for a powerful visual identity that expresses your unique business personality and draws in only your dreamiest customers.

Put a Bow on It

Once all of the final flourishes are complete, I will deliver your brand brief, brand board, style guide and provide all of the necessary files in multiple formats to share your shiny, new brand with the world. A screencast or personal tutorial is provided for all website projects for easy management and updates.
